Street Art - BURNON - Østre Havnegade 37 og 39

At Østre Havn in Aalborg , art has moved very close to everyday life. In the Kulturrækken housing development, 12 colourful street art portraits now adorn the stairwells, all created by the North Jutland artist Burn On.
The street art artist Claus Frederiksen, also known as Burn On, had portrayed 6 North Jutland songwriters and 6 writers in each of his stairwells. From the fifth to the living room in each of the stairwells, the faces of "North Jutland's cultural life" now turned towards the street. In the neighbourhood that construction and property developer Enggaard A/S bought for DKK 42.8 million. And where the high-rise buildings are now so close together that the lucky ones with a balcony can shake hands with the neighbor opposite. The artwork is financed and paid for by Enggaard. The building with the portraits is called "The Culture Series", and "the art is not only made for the residents, but also as a contribution to the street and city life". That is exactly what the vernissage guests did from the opposite sidewalk, while the 12 portraits watched from the stairwells.
